Tuome

Welcome to Tuome, a New American - Asian Fusion restaurant located in the heart of New York City's East Village. This intimate eatery combines the best of both worlds, offering a unique dining experience for those seeking a blend of flavors and cultures.

As a food reviewer, I had the pleasure of sampling the culinary delights at Tuome. The Mains are truly the star of the show here, with dishes like the Snow Crab noodles and tender Lamb chops receiving high praise from customers. The Snow Crab dish, in particular, stands out for its perfect balance of flavors and textures, earning a perfect score of 10/10.

While the complimentary Scallion pancake puffs may not have dazzled every palate, other appetizers like the Scallops and Octopus showcased the kitchen's skill in crafting intricate dishes that delight the senses. The Octopus, while requiring some finesse to enjoy, still scored a respectable 6/10.

Service at Tuome is on par with elite Michelin-starred establishments, with attentive and knowledgeable staff ensuring a seamless dining experience. The cozy ambiance and laid-back vibe make it an ideal spot for a date night or special occasion, where you can savor dishes like the Halibut with Tom Yum and mussels, a customer favorite.

Overall, Tuome impresses with its innovative menu, expertly prepared dishes, and exceptional service. Whether you're a fan of Asian-inspired flavors or crave a taste of New American cuisine, Tuome is a must-visit destination in the East Village.

The Mains are the star of this Michelin Star restaurant Walking in, the set up of the atmosphere is cozy, open and slightly dark; no blinding bright lights here. Noise is no issue here, it is a great place to take that special someone. The service was up to the standard you would expect from a higher end restaurant, they were attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Not anything that would separate them from elite Michelin star restaurants. As far as the food they provided complimentary Scallion pancake puffs which did not blow me away. They were crunchy with some flavor but did not remind me of a scallion pancake I have ordered from countless Asian restaurants (5/10). For the Apps, we ordered the Scallops and Octopus. As far as taste goes, Scallops had a bit more flavor while the Octopus required dipping into the puree to combat the rubbery texture. Scallops (6.5/10). Octopus (6/10) The main's is where Tuome shined the brightest. The Snow Crab dish tasted amazing. Noodles were cooked al dente, and paired well with the fresh crab. The flavors worked well together and would highly recommend getting this dish again (10/10). Finally the Lamb, it was tender, flavorful, and presented well. The puree was a good balance of complex but not overpowering in any sense (9.5/10). One more thing: skip the Broccoli, there is nothing wrong with the taste, I just thought it would be chinese broccoli and not regular. The vanilla ice cream and Chinese Beignets were amazing! Overall: I would recommend people venture out to the East Village to try Tuome. Focus more on the mains and maybe try a different Apps Dish if you're interested. In comparison to other Michelin star restaurants, it's much more affordable.

I have been twice and really love this spot. Michelin level quality food in a laid back environment. Perfect for a date night in East Village. The snow crab noodle is great and popular, but I would encourage people to try whatever their current fish entree is as well (I believe the menu changes seasonally). Pictured is the Halibut entree with Tom yum and mussels that was exceptional. The service is fast and professional.

Ambiance: the place is super cute and cozy. It's upscale with a chiller vibe to it Food: to start they brought out a little appetizer that to me tasted like a lighter version of an everything bagel. It was very light and delicious. Almost wish I had more of it. We also ordered the deviled eggs, which were the best deviled eggs I've had. It had so many flavor profiles and different textures. Really an explosion of flavors- I'm going to think about that dish for a very long time and highly recommend it! After looking at other reviews, we also decided on the snow crab noodles and broccoli. The noodles were perfectly cooked to my liking and the sauce was very flavorful. It did feel like something was missing, maybe an additional kick but I'd definitely get these again. The broccoli in my opinion was nothing special but the sauce on it was delicious. Service: the staff here is very attentive and sweet. Constantly making sure that everything is to your liking and providing fresh new plates after each dish. Overall recommendation: definitely check it out if you're in the area! Next time I'm looking forward to trying some of the other dishes and dessert.

Came back here to treat out my friends who helped with our wedding and new apartment. We got to try quite a few dishes. We got the complimentary scallion balls again which was a big hit with everyone. Snow crab noodles: these were again good and seems to be a standard on the seasonal menu. Pig out: it was not so impressive compared to juicier pork that I've had elsewhere. Not bad though and the peanut noodles did shine through with their chewiness. I think Tuome does noodles very well. Halibut: it was good too and the sauce was interesting like most of the othe sauces. I wish we had bread to soak it up to eat. Scallops: this iteration was in the form of the dumplings and my favorite dish in this meal (tied with the lamb). Lamb: a surprise hit for me. I like lamb but I prefer seafood over meat but this was so tender and flavorful. Those who don't like lamb normally appreciated it as well. Rice: steamed rice with Chinese sausage. I liked this as well but you can get similar versions at cheaper restaurants. Octopus: tender and good too The Cocktails were great too. Tried the east village blossom, blushing Sangria, and the fire in the sky, and you really can't go wrong with any of them.
